All good things come to an end, and that time has come for Sxipper
All good things come to an end, and that time has come for Sxipper
Sxipper’s servers will cease operations April 15, 2011.
Your current Sxipper add-on will continue to operate in a limited fashion, but it will not be able to learn new forms or update form maps, nor will you receive emails to disposable email addresses.
How can I get my passwords that Sxipper has stored?
Sxipper has always stored your passwords in the Firefox password store. If you uninstall Sxipper, Firefox will be able to fill in your password for most sites.
Why won’t Firefox be able to use all my passwords?
Sxipper was a little smarter about how to use passwords on some sites than the fox was. Your passwords are still there even if Firefox can’t use them. You can see them by going to Preferences | Security | [ Saved Passwords... ]
How can I get my persona data out of Sxipper?
You can export any persona data by going to Preferences | Sxipper | Form Fill | [Export]
Will Sxipper be updated for Firefox 4?
No. Sxipper does not have what it takes to run in Firefox 4. If you upgrade to Firefox 4, your passwords will still be there.
Is there anything I can do to keep Sxipper going?
We looked at numerous homes for Sxipper, but could not find a suitable one. For more background, please check out Dick Hardt’s post.
